Colours, Plastics and Prints: Here’s what you missed at NYFW…
Now that the Spring 2018 collections have officially come to an end in New York, take a look at the top 10 trends of the week.
1. Kendall and Kaia in head to toe floral
As Miranda Priestly says, “Floral? For Spring? Ground-breaking.” Kaia Geber, model and daughter of Cindy Crawford, and model Kendall Jenner step out in head to toe floral.

2. Boss Girl Tweed...
Tweed was everywhere this fashion week; on skirts, jackets, purses, and shoes. Pair it with a leather skirt, feminine dress or sporty roll neck because tweed is back in style! Time to start rifling through grandmas wardrobe…

3. Since when are leggings acceptable as pants?
According to Tom Ford, Victoria Beckham, Philipp Plein, and R13 they are acceptable starting this Fall. Whether they have a print or are metallic, leggings will soon be acceptable everywhere.

4. You know what they say, “No pants no problem”
Actress Blake Lively and model Kendall Jenner are among some of NYFW’s attendees who dared to don the no pant look. With oversized sweaters, and high boots…boy, they are rocking this fashionable flare.

5. The '80s Are Back in Full Force
Power suits, colorful bright tights and the colour magenta is back! The runways were infused with 80’s overload, bringing you back to GLAM with a huge dose a colour!

6. Grandpa/Dad Sneakers…
Described as everything from “unconventional” to “awkward” to downright “ugly,” the chunky sneaker trend remains alive and well. Sneakers that you found in your old basement closet are now socially acceptable to wear out of the house. In fact, it’s even encouraged to do so…Balenciaga, Gucci and the collaboration of Nike and Kanye West bring this street style to New York Fashion Week.

7. Plastic and Transparent is coming in hot for Fall 2018
Whether its bags, hats, jackets, or Yeezy shoes that look super sweaty, the see thru PVC trend is back!

8. Flamin' Hot Cheetos
At Chromat's Fall 2018 show, the spiciest accessory hit the runway: Flamin' Hot Cheetos, the signature snack of Britney Jean Spears.

We genuinely think this is the hottest trend of the season (and damn it tastes good). Bella Hadid, Hailey Baldwin, and Selena Gomez seem to agree.

9. Animal Print
Forget your innocent cheetah girl Halloween costume, because Animal (print) instincts are taking a walk on the wild side. The zoo has been stocked up with slip dresses, slouchy one- shouldered sweaters and trench coats.

10. 90s vibes are back
With saturated colours, NYFW made sure that there were no neutral grounds. The statement was clear when it comes to the preferred spring palette: bright, saturated hues either monochromatically or colorblocked à la Tom Ford.

Embrace your inner Leslie Jones at the Christian Siriano show screaming “YAAASSS” and “WORK IT GIRL” and jump on these Spring trends now.
